Olympe de Clèves

drame/play, pub:1864

See also the novel Olympe de Clèves.

From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed:
Considerable fragments only of this piece are in existence. M. Glinel speaks almost as though he had seen them, but does not state where or in whose possession they are to be found.
The "Gazette Anecdotique" quoted a letter from Dumas père to his son, suggesting that they should construct together a play from either "Olympe de Clèves" or "Ingénue," preferably the former.
In his letter to Napoleon III., prefixed to the drama of "Les Mohicans de Paris," Dumas refers to this piece as being then in course of construction. (August, 1864.)
It was apparently never completed, and consequently neither performed nor printed.
