     A comic opera in three acts, in prose, with songs and choruses.
     Dumas' third work of this character (the second was not printed, see pp. 351-52) ; in this case it was produced in collaboration with his old friend and first partner in literary work, de Leuven, as the title-page states.
     The music was by M. Ambroise Thomas.
     First performed at the Opéra Comique Theatre on the 4th of February, 1860.
     Original edition : Paris, Michel Lévy Frères, 1860.
     It is now to be found in Vol. XIV. of the 15 Vol. edition of Calmann-Lévy, and in Vol. XXII. of their series in 25 Vols.
