From A Bibliography of Alexandre Dumas père by Frank Wild Reed: A five-act comedy in verse, by Louis Lefevre. Quérard declares this play to be a posthumous work by Hégésippe Moreau, on the authority of the journals of the day. Noel Parfait positively states that Dumas had a share in its composition.
First performed at the Odéon on 29th September, 1843.
